The Winning Mindset Kingdom Coaching Program is designed to be a 30-day 4-Week program. You will move fairly quickly through some of the sections, and slow down for understanding and to give people time to get a feel for the exercises. They will be able to finish the exercises on their own. If they have the AI app, they will be able to go deeper in between sessions.

While you COULD offer the program in one weekend (Friday evening - Saturday afternoon, for example) the idea is for them to take some time in between sessions to do some self-work AND to get them in the habit of coming back for your help! This will build a deeper connection with you and make it more likely they will want to come to the Sunday service or one of your church ministries.

The workshop can be done in either format. If it is in person, you can print out the key exercises for them to start, but you should give them a link to download the full Playbook after the workshop so they can fill in the exercises on their computer if they want, plus read some of the material you probably won't want to spend money to print out.

If it is a virtual workshop (a webinar) then you just give them the links to the exercises during the webinar. It is a little trickier doing this so you would want to practice it or have someone to help you manage the chat and put in the links. But it is done all the time.

Many pastors struggle with whether they should put themselves out there as a coach. You may wonder: "Is coaching really for me? Am I qualified to do this? Can I charge for helping people?"

Let’s settle this right now: IF YOU ARE A PASTOR, YOU ARE ALREADY A LIFE COACH—you just may not call it that. You're already a coach, even if you've never thought about it that way.   Every time you counsel someone through a crisis, guide them toward better decisions, or help them grow spiritually - one word for it is coaching (a word non-believers understand better than "discipling"!). It's woven into the very fabric of pastoral ministry, just as Jesus, our Good Shepherd, didn't just preach but guided and developed His followers (John 10:11).

You counsel, guide, and mentor people every day, helping them navigate struggles, relationships, and decisions.

But here’s the challenge: The unchurched don’t always understand what pastors do and often turn to "coaches" instead of churches for guidance. • The seed of Trust in you (because they're getting to know you outside of a Sunday service, week-after-week) which contradicts the lies about pastors.

Your sermons will water those seeds once they come to hear you or watch you online, but this coaching program helps people prepare the soil of their heart — so when they do come to church, they’re ready for real growth.

Some pastors feel hesitant about charging for services outside of church ministry. Let me say a few things about this important topic.

First, you’re not charging for the Gospel. You’re offering a professional-level growth experience built on psychological best practices and spiritual insight — designed to help people change their lives. Just like a Christian therapist or life coach, you’re offering your time, leadership, and expertise. And a small investment (like $25–$40 per person) shows them that this is something worth showing up for.

Second, let’s be honest: Most Black pastors already work full-time jobs outside the church to provide for their families. So, the real question isn’t "Should I be doing something else for income?"—you probably already are.

And here's the challenge you're facing right now:  

• You're balancing a full-time job while trying to grow your church - which leaves you little time for sustained outreach.

• You know there are people in your community who need your wisdom, but you're struggling to reach them and end up just praying they come to where you are.

Here’s the truth: People value what they invest in. When someone pays for coaching, they take it seriously. And many pastors find that coaching clients who later join their church become more engaged, more consistent, and more faithful in giving.

I get it. You’ve seen a lot of flashy programs and church growth models that sounded good but didn’t really fit the way your ministry operates — especially in a Black church or smaller congregation. This isn’t theory. This is a step-by-step system that’s already working for pastors just like you — pastors who felt overlooked, under-resourced, and overworked... but still called to make an impact.

I know our white brothers and sisters sometimes get offended by a ministry catering to the Black Church and community because they believe that they are offering ministry to everyone. "We are all one in Christ" they say, which is absolutely true. However, Black pastors consistently report that it is very hard to find Christian resources that are tailored for the Black community. Unknowingly, unintentionally, the evangelical Church has created a predominantly white set of Christian resources. Black and Latino faces sprinkled through a curriculum does NOT mean it will speak to non-Christian Black communities. It takes much more than diverse pictures to reach a people group for Christ! There are issues and dynamics and cultural expectations and ways of interacting that are under the surface and unknown to people who have not spent much time amongst us. And evangelical resources and church growth ministries just don't understand that, sorry to say, unless they do the hard work that missionaries do of learning a culture.

So our focus is filling in the gap with materials that are created "By us for us" from the ground up. We have a deep understanding of the issues and mindsets in the Black community and how we need to speak to them to bring them to Christ. Even as Paul was the Apostle to the gentiles (because he grew up in their community and understood them) while Peter (after Acts 9) and the others were NOT called to reach gentiles (because they were unfamiliar with gentile culture), we are empowering Black pastors to reach a primarily Black unsaved community through speaking to their particular issues in a language Black people speak.

You can absolutely charge for it. This workshop actually goes quite deep using some solid psychological principles and techniques designed to help change the way people think. But I suggest you use it as a FREE way to attract people into your fuller ministry because changing deep beliefs takes time and this workshop is an excellent way to build trust. If it is free, many more people will come, which will then give you a better opportunity to generate necessary income.

This workshop is part of the Church Growth Systems 3-Step, 2-Track Strategy for growing churches and ministries. So we use sermon series to draw people who are either unchurched Christians or "almost Christians" (meaning the Holy Spirit has convicted them and they are nearing a decision for Christ). Our workshops are designed to attract a broader group of people who would not come to a Sunday service but ARE looking for help with their struggles and don't object to getting that help from a Pastor in a non-churchy setting.

With that as our objective, everything in the workshop conforms to a Christian worldview, but it doesn't exposit or quote Scripture. You can, however, add slides that have verses that speak to the points in the workshop, if you feel so led. I would just caution you, however, that you do that in a way that does not ASSUME everyone there is a Christian.

That being said, the end stage of the workshop -- after you have offered serious psychological help in a non-church way -- does, in fact, point people towards the role God can play in this struggle of theirs. We've laid the groundwork for that, built up their trust in you, and now you have an opportunity to make the connection with God. You can "read the room" and see how far you can go in THIS session, but I would suggest you not be too anxious about that and invite them to one of the next steps they can take with you to go deeper. (There is a slide for "5 Ways to Keep Growing with Me". There you can tell them about your women's ministry, men's ministry, one-on-one counseling with you, a paid conference or coaching program, etc.. TAKE YOUR TIME AND BUILD THE RELATIONSHIP!

This isn’t a business in the worldly sense. It’s a sustainable outreach system that also helps you pay your bills...and attracts people more serious about their personal growth.

You’re doing it by running workshops and challenges and other programs we give you that help people break through barriers, find confidence, and get unstuck. You’re not chasing money — you’re building a new door for people who wouldn’t step through the church entrance just yet. And that’s ministry. That’s impact. That’s Kingdom work. And you are worthy of your hire!

Can you turn this into a business? Over time, as you learn all that is involved, this could become a full-time ministry. But I think...just like Church Growth Systems...you will realize that this will always remain a ministry first, and a source of income second. Because you will never do as a Pastor what some coaching business people out there do, like charge outrageous fees to extract as much money as possible from people while giving services far less than what people are paying them for.
